BIOVIA Draw offers scientists unique capabilities for managing complex biological entities including the ability to register and retrieve peptides, oligonucleotides, and oligosaccharides. Scientists have access to many features including a biological sequence editor that allows the definition of custom residues and linkers, Markush structure. BIOVIA Draw 4.2:: DESCRIPTION. BIOVIA Draw enables scientists to draw and edit complex molecules, chemical reactions and biological sequences with ease, facilitating the collaborative searching, viewing, communicating, and archiving of scientific information. BIOVIA Draw Academic Edition can be installed and used only if: You are a student, faculty member, staff member or resident scholar of an educational institution (K-12, junior college, college or university) using Software for academic and/or teaching purposes only.
Networks
KI ELN is available via KI's internal networks KI Access and KI Staff.
If your computer is outside of KI's network you need to login via VPN (Virtual Private Network) or Always_on_VPN to access KI ELN.
VPN is not available for KI students.
BIOVIA desktop connector
The desktop connector enables Microsoft Word and Excel functionality in KI ELN.
To install and enable the desktop connector, please follow the instructions below:
PC and self-managed Mac
- Log in to eln.ki.se
- Go to profile > Desktop connector
- Press 'Download installer'
- Run installer
- Press 'Connect this browser', accept connection
- Restart computer
Mac managed by IT
Biovia Notebook
- Start Self Service
- Choose 'Plugins', alternatively search for 'Desktop Connector ELN'
- Press 'Install'
- Restart your computer and ELN
- When asked 'Do you want to trust the website eln.ki.se to use the Biovia Plugin plug-in?', accept
